Aerospace Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to the design, development, and testing of our reusable launch vehicle, New Shepard. Your expertise will help us achieve our vision of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop flight control and actuated systems for New Shepard
- Participate in the entire design cycle, from system architecture to qualification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency
- Identify and implement design changes to improve system performance and reduce costs
- Contribute to verification audits and component/subsystem testing
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace development or similar industries
- Demonstrated expertise in servo-controlled hydraulic actuation, electro-mechanical actuation, and mechanisms for high-reliability systems
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs and analysis tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with Creo, Windchill, and Ansys
- Test instrumentation and data acquisition experience
- Hands-on experience with machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems
