Senior Research Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Scientist to join our research team within the College of Science and Engineering.

About the Role:
  • This position offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research endeavors, publications, student supervision, laboratory management tasks and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary research team.

The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the development of innovative solutions in organic/medicinal/pharmaceutical/synthetic/natural products chemistry or a related area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out high-quality research in a related field.
  • Develop and implement effective laboratory management strategies.
  • Write manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and prepare grant applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary research team and liaise with industry partners, research providers, and other key stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a PhD in organic/medicinal/pharmaceutical/synthetic/natural products chemistry or a related area.
  • Knowledge in drug discovery and development from natural products or organic compounds.
  • Experience in High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy, and their applications.
