Job Overview

A strategic communications leader is required to spearhead a global risk communications strategy that drives better member outcomes through excellence in risk management.

This pivotal role will oversee the development and implementation of an innovative, creative, and dynamic internal communications strategy that fosters a culture of risk awareness and resilience across the organization.

  • The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in similar in-house positions or consultancy roles, with demonstrated expertise in internal communications within financial services and knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • They will have proven ability to develop compelling content for diverse channels, lead high-performing teams, and act as a senior leader in large, complex organizations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing a world-class global internal communications strategy that promotes risk excellence and drives organizational resilience.
  2. Building a robust risk performance culture aligned with the Fund's 2035 Strategy, driving sustainable change, and fostering a mature risk management culture.
  3. Providing expert guidance and support to colleagues, the Board, and Executive team on communications to promote and embed a risk-aware culture.
  4. Partnering with senior management, business units, and stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement to uplift organizational resilience and risk culture through effective communications.
  5. Supporting the Head of Organisational Resilience and Principal, Leadership Communications to ensure program implementation integrates with relevant organizational functions, initiatives, and processes.
  6. Supporting the preparation for Chief Executive, Executive, Board, and other senior leaders with coaching on how to communicate with impact.

What We're Looking For:

  • Deep experience working in similar in-house positions or consultancy roles.
  • Demonstrated internal communications experience within financial services and knowledge of the regulators of the sector.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and manage emerging issues and trends.
  • Experience acting as a senior leader in large, complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling content for all channels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Desirable: Experience and knowledge of the Australian superannuation system.
