About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Leasing Officer to join our team on an immediate 6-month contract. As an APS 6 employee, you will be responsible for delivering the department's strategic approach to its property portfolio, covering lease acquisitions, management, and disposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of leasing strategies to support asset management priorities and property efficiencies.
  • Prepare written submissions, briefs, reports, and other correspondence with stakeholders to support property-related decisions.
  • Maintain leasing data to support management of the department's property portfolio, ensuring contract compliance and optimisation of the property portfolio.
  • Exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
  • Provide accurate advice, including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management.
Requirements
  • Leasing experience at a Senior Level is desired, preferably within federal government departments.
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively, with a focus on customer service and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Coordinate work, manage competing priorities, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $52ph + super, with the opportunity to gain security checks and work with a reputable government department.
