Clinical Trials and Cancer Care Pharmacist Role

As a dedicated pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive medication management, optimizing patient treatments, and leading clinical trial processes within a dynamic multidisciplinary team at John Flynn Private Hospital.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient-centered pharmacy services emphasizing medication safety and optimization.
  • Perform clinical assessments, drug therapy monitoring, and offer patient-specific recommendations.
  • Compounding, dispensing, and managing clinical trial drugs and supplies.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders for training implementation.
  • Implement clinical trial processes and procedures efficiently preparing documentation for use on Clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current unconditional Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA.
  • High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of CHARM, Merlin, and Microsoft Office.
  • Team-oriented, enjoy collaboration, and passionate about providing specialized patient care.
  • Previous experience and/or formal study in cancer care and the ability to perform aseptic complex compounding is highly regarded.
  • Clinical Trials experience highly desirable, including knowledge of GMP, GCP, sterile compounding, and clean room work.
