Lead Neurology Liaison Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Neurology Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team on a permanent basis. As part of the state government's healthcare services, this role will provide comprehensive in- and outpatient liaison between Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and the Neurology Department at Austin Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing formal supervision for allocated registrars, satisfying supervision requirements for the RANZCP
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes for patients
  • Attending clinical and operational meetings of both the Consultation Liaison and Neurology teams
About You:
  • You will have specialist qualifications in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry as well as specific experience in neurology settings
  • You will have a keen interest in developing your skillset and contributing to improving health outcomes across the general hospital setting
Requirements:
  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP), or equivalent
  • Have demonstrated experience working with patients with neurological conditions and psychological and psychiatric comorbidities
