Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our team at Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia. As a B1 LAME/AME, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and modifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to a Zero Harm environment through active participation in safety programs.
  • Perform duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics, ensuring all maintenance is carried out in line with Aircraft Maintenance manuals and responsible CAMO requirements.
  • Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop, ensuring compliance with FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE/HoM, including personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Report defects found during maintenance to certifying engineer and carry out aircraft wiring and systems modifications as directed.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizen
  • Part 66 classic Dash 8 Rating (for LAME role)
  • Sound communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Avionics modification experience
  • Flexibility to travel at times
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering orders for modifications
Desirable Criteria
  • Both line maintenance and heavy maintenance experience
  • Cert IV Aeroskills - Mechanical
  • Dash 8 Experience
  • Confined space training
  • Current first aid Certificate
  • Forklift license
