Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Asset Specialist to join our team. This role requires close integration with personnel within the ICT Contracts and Asset Management Division, ICT Strategy and Investment Management Branch.

  • Asset receipting and tracking involves receiving and logging ICT assets, consumables, and stock requirements both domestically and internationally.
  • The inventory management process entails managing inventories, invoices, and registers for these assets.
  • Technical support includes server and storage break and fix services as well as providing assistance with Enterprise products.
  • The preparation and dispatch of ICT assets, consumables, and stock requirements also falls under this role.
  • Asset information is applied to ICT asset systems using various data points such as asset tags, serial numbers, bar codes, user personas, processor speed, RAM, system model, image revision, etc.
  • Remedy updates and requests are monitored and applied by this individual, including Configuration Management Database (CMDB) creations, updates, and responding to asset-related service requests.
  • The initial configuration/imaging of OS/devices, iOS devices, Android devices, and Apple Macs is conducted by this specialist.
  • Forklift license qualification is also required.
  • This role also involves the receipt, monitoring, and tracking of the decommissioning of all in-scope OS/devices, iOS devices, Android devices, and Apple Macs as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NV2 Clearance, which is mandatory for this position.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Electronics training equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic, or military technical school/universities, or applicable related technical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or Electronics training equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic, or military technical school/universities, or applicable related technical experience.
