Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Operations Manager to join our team in Alice Springs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating all site-based activities, providing direction to a team of dedicated technicians, and ensuring the efficient management of the day-to-day running of the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage the day-to-day running of the site, including planning, scheduling, and allocating repair events.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of field service technicians, overseeing repairs and sign-off on technicians' work, tracking and measuring technician productivity and performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, and manage fleet assets for clients.
  • Provide technical support to staff and perform occasional on- and off-site work, including on-highway and power generation sites.
  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OH&S requirements, conduct quality checks, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the remote parts team with local inventory management and order processing.
Requirements
  • Proven supervisory/leadership experience with a strong technical background, ideally within heavy diesel.
  • Significant experience in a workshop environment with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Heavy Vehicle qualification highly desirable.
  • Motivated towards developing a high-performing and professional team and their commitment to safety and providing exceptional customer service.
