Overview

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure seeks a motivated and experienced professional to lead a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in public sector finance.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an individual with proven experience in accounts payable and receivable environments, strong understanding of financial systems and policy application, demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

  • Lead a dynamic team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial services that support strategic goals.
  • Provide expert advice on financial transactions and processes, and use strategic thinking to drive process improvements and maintain clear, effective documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and demonstrate proactive approach to liaison with them.

About You

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and policy application.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
