Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in aged care settings
  • Strong knowledge of aged care clinical standards and resident-centred care
  • Experience in medication management, wound care, and palliative support

Desirable:

  • Leadership or mentorship experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of gerontological nursing principles and practices
