Key Responsibilities
  • Collection of blood samples from adults, children, and infants is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Registration of patient information using pre-analytical management systems ensures efficient workflow and data accuracy.
  • Maintenance of equipment, consumables, and work areas in a clean, safe, and well-resourced state is critical for preventing errors and ensuring staff safety.
  • Confidentiality of patient information must be maintained at all times.
  • Delivering a customer experience of the highest standard requires a professional appearance and positive personal interaction with patients.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Phlebotomy or equivalent relevant experience is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a phlebotomist is preferred.
  • Current QLD open drivers license is mandatory.
  • Good manual dexterity and empathy are essential for interacting with patients effectively.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and strong communication skills are vital for successful job performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment is essential for achieving our goals.
