Fleet Operations Manager

Our organisation is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies, as well as developing and delivering training programs for drivers and fleet users.

This is a key role within our organisation, requiring strong organisational, written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application.

We are looking for someone with a passion for safety, compliance and empowering others through training. If you have a background in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL), and experience in developing theory and practical training packages, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing fleet compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
  • Developing and deliver training programs for drivers and fleet users
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Collaborating with teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability
  • Supporting continuous improvement in fleet operations and training practices
Requirements:
  • Relevant Qualifications/Completed Modules in Training and Assessment for Verification of Competency
  • Experience in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL)
  • Experience in developing theory and practical training packages
  • Proven ability in assessing competency of operational staff
  • Highly developed organisational, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application
