Labourer Operations Role

A dynamic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining our community's civil and transport infrastructure.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Labourer to join our Roads and Drains team. As a Labourer, you will be at the forefront of operational maintenance of Council's valuable assets, ensuring your designated area remains safe, tidy and defect-free.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Installing and replacing road signs
  • Pathways, kerb and channel repairs
  • Replacing manholes
  • Conducting fence repairs
  • Replacing lintels and grates
  • Repairing headwalls
  • Fixing traffic island defects
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and physical capability: To perform manual tasks safely
  • Recent experience: In a manual position with skills and experience similar to those listed above
  • Current qualifications: Truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid) and Construction Induction Card
