A multinational organisation in South Dublin is looking for a senior finance professional to fill a 15 month contract assignment.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for financial reporting and managing a small group of finance staff. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with an established company and contribute to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts within tight deadlines.
  • Reviewing balance sheet schedules and reconciliations for allocated divisions.
  • Ensuring high quality backup schedules and balance sheet controls are maintained.
  • Preparing financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing financial information to support budgeting and forecasting.

Statutory Reporting

  • Preparing detailed information and financial statements for annual audit.
  • Leading the response to audit queries for various business units.
  • Coordinating with tax advisors on annual tax computations.

Team Management

  • Managing a small team of finance professionals who work on account preparation and other tasks.
  • Delegating tasks and reviewing work to ensure high quality standards.
  • Providing constructive feedback and supporting team development.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in financial reporting and/or auditing.
  • Ideal: Big 6 practice qualified with 2+ years post-practice industry experience.
  • Staff management and supervision experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to implement change and solve problems creatively.
