About You

This is an identified position for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who is a skilled communicator and visual storyteller. You will use your creative and strategic design expertise to engage a range of audiences — from community members to partners, donors, and the wider public.

About The Role

The Communications & Design Specialist is responsible for managing social media, leading the ambassador program and supporting the communications team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and implementing the social media strategy;
  • Leading the Children's Ground Ambassador Program;
  • Supporting organisational design needs;
  • Contributing to strategic direction, campaigns and planning;
  • Leading special projects as designated by the Director.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the rights and interests of First Nations Australians;
  • Ability to effectively manage social media strategies;
  • Graphic design experience with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Project management skills with the ability to meet KPIs;
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing or relevant field;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate concepts persuasively;
  • Developed organisational skills with an ability to balance competing work priorities.
