Job Title: Senior Concept Artist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Concept Artist to join our team and contribute to the creation of engaging visual content for our American Football project. As a key member of our concept team, you will be responsible for developing the initial look and feel of our project through innovative artwork.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio that showcases their ability to create emotive and stylized art within strict technical limitations and tight deadlines. They will also possess excellent drawing skills, a specialization in concept design and illustration, and a solid understanding of visual language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing characters, environments, props, logos, and designs based on feedback.
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet demanding content scheduling requirements.
  • Collaborating with the concept team and art directors to ensure consistency and coherence in visual storytelling.
  • Researching relevant project material including translation styles, characters, and similar projects.
  • Presentation of concepts, research, and references to the project team.
  • Interpreting initial ideas and creating quick sketch drafts for review.
  • Conceptualizing and effectively visually communicating ideas to get buy-in from stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates artistic and storytelling ability.
  • Excellent sketching abilities for rough conceptualization.
  • Proficiency in digital 2D and 3D software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, and Blender.
  • Strong drawing skills and a specialization in concept design and illustration.
  • A solid understanding of visual language and the ability to communicate effectively through art.
