About the Role

This role involves creating and maintaining a sales-focused store culture and delivering profitable sales growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and embedding a coaching model and development framework to drive sales performance.
  • Leading and shaping a sales-focused culture through performance management, sales leadership, recruitment, onboarding, retention, communication, talent development, reward and recognition.
  • Ensuring a consistent positive store and channel experience for customers and effective resolution of customer complaints and queries.
  • Managing and monitoring financial performance through profitable sales, inventory management, and controllable expenses, including labor management.
  • Developing knowledge and setting expectations to ensure all activities meet compliance and legislative requirements, with particular emphasis on Consumer Law and Safety.
  • Maintaining The Good Guys brand image to the highest quality, including standards for visual merchandising, in-store marketing, and employee presentation.
  • Establishing governance and management controls to align store activities with core policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and participating in community engagement and public relations activities.

About You

  • You have proven leadership experience managing multi-site or large-format retail businesses.
  • You have broad experience within retail, with knowledge across multiple areas of a store, such as sales, operations, or merchandising.
  • You possess strong people leadership skills and experience managing large, complex teams across sales, merchandise, customer service, or operations.
  • You are commercially focused, with experience managing P/L and various store metrics.
  • You hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and can effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
