Job Title: Collections Officer

  • Receiving inbound and making outbound calls to customers, third parties and third party suppliers
  • Using negotiation skills and empathy to attain customer and commercial outcomes
  • Liaising with external stakeholders; for instance lawyers, on litigated matters
  • Assessing, reviewing, recommending and undertaking recovery action where appropriate; with both the Customer and Salt&Lime's best interests in mind
  • Providing information and support to customers experiencing financial hardship
  • Collecting applicable fees and default interest charges
  • You will be part of a supportive team to help drive first call resolution and offer customers further assistance that meets their financial obligations
  • Understand & adhere to the Collections Debt and NCCP consumer guidelines
  • Assisting customers with repayment plans
  • Assisting customers experiencing financial hardship
  • Following up customers on payment variations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in both unsecured and secured credit collections
  • Thrive in change - this is a fast-paced role and applicants must enjoy changing environments and challenges.

  • Customer orientated and committed to delivering an exceptional experience.
