About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SPMT Technician to join our team at Monadelphous. As a key member of our Heavy Lift Team, you will be responsible for the assembly, configuration, operation, and mechanical maintenance of Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) and specialized lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the assembly, configuration, and operation of SPMTs and specialized lifting equipment.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on SPMTs and lifting equipment.
  • Plan and execute large transport operations, including RoRo, in line with site procedures and hazards.
  • Interpret technical and engineering documents relevant to transport operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure safe and reliable service solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy lift/heavy haul scopes, ideally in a construction project environment.
  • Previous experience in SPMT operation, with Cometto experience advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on SPMTs and specialized heavy lift equipment.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
