Job Overview

As a Senior Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and acquiring new properties to drive McDonald's expansion strategy in Western Australia.

  • Utilize industry connections and real estate expertise to discover novel sites in WA (freehold or leasehold)
  • Evaluate the feasibility, suitability, and potential of each site, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions
  • Present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee the entire property acquisition process, including negotiations with external consultants and stakeholders
  • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between parties to deliver on the national development plan
Key Responsibilities
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including franchisees, McOpCo leaders, vendors, landlords, and corporate departments
  • Present to and participate in NDG board meetings, regularly liaising with members to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain effective stakeholder management skills to drive success and achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Qualifications
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development or a related field
  • Proven experience as a property/real estate development manager in retail/commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of the property market, with ability to structure and negotiate deals effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven results in managing site or project delivery
