Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team in a professional services environment.

This role will suit someone with broad accounting skills who wants direct access to senior financial leadership.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and management reporting
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review AP/ AR and payroll
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records through effective reconciliations
  • Assist in the ongoing improvement of reporting processes, controls, and systems
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between finance, operations, and compliance teams

About You:

  • Degree qualified and certified accountant
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, ideally within a regulatory focused environment
  • Solid exposure to tax compliance, fixed assets & reporting
  • Exposure to cloud-based accounting systems is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams – this is a professional environment
Key Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting
  • Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Candidates with exposure to auditing and risk management
  • Those with knowledge of financial planning and analysis
  • Individuals with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
