Graduate Environmental Compliance Specialist

Your key role is to support the enforcement of environmental regulations and public health guidelines in a compliance team.

As a Graduate Environmental Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues through consultation and decision-making aligned with organizational values. You will also respond to tasks within set timeframes, manage workloads to ensure completion, and develop a working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Local Government Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, and Public Health Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Manage tasks and workloads efficiently
  • Develop expertise in legislation related to environmental protection
  • Assist with evidence gathering, report writing, and presenting information
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and assist colleagues when required
  • Report directly to the Team Leader of Environmental Compliance and Protection

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or equivalent
  • Be nearing completion of studies or have relevant experience
  • Hold a current C Class driver's license
