About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Qantas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft to ensure they are airworthy and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and diagnose any issues with aircraft systems and components.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize aircraft availability and reduce downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance procedures and technologies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Completed Certificate IV Aeroskills qualification (Mechanical or Avionics)
  • Previous experience in a Line Maintenance environment (desirable)
  • Relevant Aircraft Maintenance (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics) trade experience on B737-800 and/or A330
  • Experience working on B787 and A380 will be desirable
  • Completed all documentation and reporting requirements to a high standard
  • Taken ownership and driven outcomes to meet business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to all safety and compliance procedures
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Maintenance procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to being customer-focused with the flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Australian Driver's license
  • Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical
