Warehouse Manager Job Description

This role combines both managerial duties and active participation in daily warehouse operations. It is a dynamic position that requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate stock management systems and conduct regular inspections to prevent errors.
  • Evaluate and improve warehouse layout to maximize space utilization.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Select, orient, coach, and motivate employees to achieve optimal performance.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift license
  • Solid warehouse management experience
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Superior people management skills
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with WMS and MS Office proficiency
