About the Role

Archery Australia is seeking a visionary leader to drive the organization's strategic objectives and lead the team towards excellence.

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects, driving performance objectives, and engaging the archery community to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and growth.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve objectives in participation and engagement, performance and pathways, governance and structure, capacity and capability.
  • Take overall responsibility for the daily leadership and management of Archery Australia, including people management, financial management, media/marketing/community engagement, technology and governance support.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including Regional Governing Bodies of Archery Australia, World Archery, the Australian Sports Commission, and other relevant organizations.
About You
  • Proven experience in leading a team towards a shared vision, getting key stakeholders on board, and embedding behaviors that drive success.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver outcomes that achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Familiarity with community sport and/or high-performance sport programs, with the ability to oversee their development and implementation at a national level.
  • Excellent financial management capabilities, including the ability to interpret and report on financial accounts and make sound financial decisions.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to lead the organization with strong personal presence, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness.
  • Confidence in change management, transformation, and project delivery.
