At The Talent Mill Recruitment division, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Fashion Design Creative to join our team in Sydney.

We are a bespoke consultancy and talent acquisition specialist within the fashion, lifestyle, and retail industries. With over 10 years of expertise with luxury, lifestyle & fashion brands globally, we discover, recognize, and connect inspiring individuals to the most desirable brands.

The role you will be playing is crucial in bringing the creative vision for our brand to life. As a Midweight Fashion Designer, you will support the Senior Designer and Brand Director, working closely with a talented team of Pattern Makers, Technical Designers, and Sample Machinists.

You will bring your strong design ethic, creative energy, and modern approach to dressing to the table. Your sharp sense of style, combined with your design training, will ensure that you are able to follow through your design from sketch to garment, embracing the brand vision.

Your day-to-day tasks will include creating design sketches in alignment with current local and international fashion trends, working with the team to bring collections to life, and ensuring that your designs meet the high standards of our brand.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • 3-5+ years of previous experience in a Fashion Designer role, ideally with hand-sketching and developing collections;
  • a Womenswear Fashion Design qualification;
  • a deep understanding of current international fashion trends;
  • a clear understanding of elevated design aesthetic;
  • a positive attitude and creative flair;
  • exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and manage a fast-paced, busy design team.
