Medicine Leadership Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Principal House Officer in the Medicine Department, providing holistic care to patients under the supervision of staff specialists.
About the Position
As a Principal House Officer, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, arranging and initiating investigations, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care to individuals admitted under the Department of Medicine.
- Participate in daily consultant-led ward rounds to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the team.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in emergency departments, medical wards, and outpatient settings.
- Coordinate clinical investigations and discharge planning according to the guidance of supervising consultants.
- Support General Medicine or subspecialty outpatient clinics as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain precise and concise medical records for all patients.
- Contribute to out-of-hours rostering, including nights and weekends, to ensure adequate coverage.
- Engage in teaching, quality improvement, and professional development activities as required.
