Family Preservation Specialist
A key role in strengthening the ability of parents to respond to their children's needs and create a safe and nurturing home. As a Family Preservation Specialist, you will lead a team of case managers who deliver critical services to families at risk of escalating within the child protection system.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide supervision and coaching to your team to ensure they are equipped with the skills required to assist families in creating safety within the home.
- Contribute to overall operations objectives of the wider team and organisation.
- Utilize leadership experience and expertise in Child Protection/Permanency Support Program/Out of Home Care or five years' experience in Child Protection Case Management.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
Education and Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or similar.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience providing supervision to case managers.
- In-depth understanding of risk assessment and management within the context of child protection.
- Knowledge of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and other relevant legislation and frameworks.
