About the Role

The Alfred Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join the TMS Clinical Research Unit at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry research centre (MAPrc). As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and contribute to the running of associated clinical trials and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of TMS therapy and contribute to the running of associated clinical trials and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct clinical measures, data collection, and data entry/curation.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of treatment protocols are maintained and conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, HREC/RGO approvals, and Alfred Health policies and procedures, as well as ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
  • Protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients to ensure optimal clinical care is provided for all people under their care.

Qualification & Experience Required

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Clinical experience in mental health nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in relation to conducting assessments and determining a person's suitability for ongoing treatment and/or participation in a clinical trial.
  • Strong and proven communication, interpersonal organisational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate positively in a team environment as well as work on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Ability to liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders including GPs, allied health, and other Alfred staff.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.

Desirable

  • Experience in delivering TMS services.
  • Clinical Trials experience and sound knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Experience in administering clinical rating scales, in particular for depression.
