We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trail Construction Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work on world-class projects, develop your skills, and contribute to creating lasting outdoor experiences.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in determining the final alignment, shape, style, difficulty, and sustainability of the trail. They will be required to operate mini-excavators and have a thorough understanding of quality trail construction techniques and practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a keen eye for creativity and can blend trails seamlessly into the landscape. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership skills, with experience in leading and motivating construction teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mini-excavators and other machinery, following direction from the Site Supervisor.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the construction team by setting a strong example.
  • Oversee trail construction alongside the Site Supervisor, to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Ensure all project specific environmental controls are implemented and adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of mountain biking culture and sport.
  • Construction Induction White Card (or obtain before starting).
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Proficiency in operating mini-excavators and familiarity with sustainable trail construction techniques.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a construction team effectively.
  • Commitment to preserving natural and cultural values of the construction site.
  • Willingness to relocate to project areas and live in shared accommodation with other team members.
  • Experience in machine operation for construction of trails or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to trail building.
Location

Warburton, Victoria (with potential for travel to other locations).
