Customer Service Specialist

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide customer service support and resolution of routine problems regarding client products or services. This involves ensuring that the service delivered meets contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), clarifying customer requirements, and listening attentively to customer needs and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs.
  • Clarify customer requirements and probe for understanding to provide appropriate resolution.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, demonstrating empathy while maximizing opportunities to build rapport.
  • Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using agreed-upon procedures.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of client products and/or services.
  • Prepare complete and accurate work, including appropriately notating accounts as required.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Offer additional products and/or services.
  • Track, document, and retrieve information in call tracking databases.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma with three to six months of relevant experience.
  • Courteous communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong computer navigation skills and PC knowledge.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently.
  • Patience in all customer contact situations.
  • Ability to rotate shifts as needed.
