Highly Experienced Project Leader

Our organization is seeking a seasoned project lead to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Victorian Utilities sector.
Based in Metropolitan Melbourne, this role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team to drive project outcomes and foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from conception to completion.
- Manage project risks, contract obligations, health and safety, environmental compliance, and quality through thorough planning and regular reviews.
- Engage with stakeholders, fostering trust and cooperation through effective communication and negotiation.
- Analyze costs, forecast expenditures, coordinate subcontractor performance, and utilize programming software to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities, negotiating with suppliers and driving continuous improvements across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Degree-level qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in project management, preferably in the construction or water industry.
- Proven capability in managing engineering and design aspects of complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial arrangements, procurement, financial management, design, and contracts management.
- Well-developed leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and driving successful collaboration.
