Transformative Claims Specialist

We seek a seasoned professional to lead our claims team and drive strategic growth in the retail life insurance sector.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with expertise in policy interpretation, medical knowledge, and financial acumen to join our dynamic organization.

  • Lead and support case managers in assessing long-term claims and develop coaching programs to enhance their skills.
  • Owning a portfolio of complex claims, you will apply your analytical skills to resolve cases efficiently and maintain quality standards.
  • Promote best practices within the team, share knowledge, and mentor junior staff members.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce claim turnaround times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in retail life claims with strong policy interpretation skills across various cover types.
  • Familiarity with LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice) and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Broad understanding of medical, financial, legal, product, and regulatory aspects of life insurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certificate IV in Life Insurance (desired).
