We are seeking experienced and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to join our team in delivering high-quality in-home support services to our aged care customers. Our program is designed to empower our customers to live independently and safely in their own homes and communities.

About the Role:

  • Provide Personal Care: Assist customers with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication prompting and meal preparation.
  • Transportation and Errands: Accompany customers to appointments, shopping, and social outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with customers and their families, conducting regular observations and providing ongoing support and training.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's License: Ownership of a reliable insured vehicle is essential for this role.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 6 months experience in a similar industry and/or a certification in care is required.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and some weekends.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: All Australian Unity employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses.
  • Alignment with Values: Commitment to Australian Unity's values of Warm, Bold, and Honest is essential.
