CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is seeking a dedicated and passionate Educator to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team. As an OSH Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for school-aged children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care and education to children in a before and after school care setting
  • Developing and implementing engaging programs that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture

Key Responsibilities

The OSH Educator will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the My Time, Our Place Framework to ensure a high-quality education and care program
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children, including supervision, hygiene, and first aid
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of programs, including activities, games, and excursions
  • Communicating with families and colleagues to ensure a smooth and effective service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent
  • Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Children's Services
  • First Aid certificate
  • Experience working with school-aged children
