About the Role

As a strategic financial leader, you will provide oversight of DAC's financial operations to drive sustainable growth and ensure robust financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting aligned with DAC's strategic goals.
  • Prepare annual budgets for the corporation as a whole.
  • Support team leaders in the management of their annual budgets.
  • Oversight of financial operations including payroll, procurement, and compliance.
  • Coordinate and streamline income streams from grants, commercial activities, and service delivery.

To achieve this, you will need to possess strong leadership and team development capabilities, as well as excellent communication skills to present financial data to diverse audiences.

Requirements

You are a proactive and professional financial leader with a strong sense of cultural respect, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally in not-for-profit, Aboriginal-controlled, or government-funded organisations.
  • Proven experience in managing complex budgets, financial compliance and risk management.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities or organisations (highly desirable).
  • Strategic financial planning and analytical expertise.
  • Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, Excel and ERP systems.
