Ecology and Biodiversity Support Specialist

\helpers the Ecology and Biodiversity team in providing office-based support for ecological projects. This role involves logistics, administrative tasks, and database management to ensure smooth project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with excellent attention to detail and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Work to prepare datasets and documents.\

Key Responsibilities:

\

- Mobilizing field equipment and ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Maintaining staff qualifications, including first aid certificates and 4WD competency.
- Ensuring safety systems are maintained, including quarterly/annual reporting and auditing as required.
- Liaising with government departments to ensure current licenses and permits for ecological field work are in place.
- Coordinating laboratory and field sampling equipment maintenance and calibration, as well as ordering consumables and equipment.
- Sending and receiving freight via courier transport.
- Processing spatial data returns with attention to detail to meet client needs.
- Providing formatting support for proposals and project reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

\

- 3+ years of experience in a similar administrative or logistical role with demonstrated ability to undertake routine tasks independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel to prepare and manipulate datasets, as well as Microsoft Work to format documents.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with geographic information system software (e.g. ArcGIS or QGIS).
