Job Overview

The Director of Quality and Compliance is a pivotal role within an organization, responsible for establishing and maintaining quality management systems. The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement best practices, align with regulatory standards, and drive internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate annual program and department work plans that incorporate strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide guidance on data analysis and reporting to various departments, ensuring effective communication of performance metrics.
  • Collect and share performance data, including report creation, charting, graphing, and dashboard development.
  • Implement effective strategies for communicating policies to staff, ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Develop and deliver training in coordination with human resources, focusing on quality improvement and compliance.
  • Facilitate data review, analysis, and decision-making, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead the Operational Excellence and Risk Management Team, supporting the effectiveness of the PQI Committees: Data Excellence; Service Ethics; Health & Safety.
  • Monitor quality and compliance performance through KPIs, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
  • Analyze and report on quality metrics, compliance status, and improvement activities, maintaining accurate records of audits, assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Present reports to internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable insights into organizational performance.
  • Plan and execute internal audits to assess compliance with policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory and programmatic standards.
  • Oversee preparation and coordination of accreditation activities, ensuring ongoing compliance with COA standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, funder monitoring visits, and lead for accreditation site reviews.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions or quality improvement strategies as needed.
  • Produce regular compliance reports for executive leadership, board committees, and funders as required.
  • Support risk management efforts, including incident review and mitigation planning.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, ethics, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction for compliance functions, including internal auditing, risk assessment, policy review, and staff training.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to various audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different writing styles and formats.
