Export Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Export Documentation Specialist to join our team. As an Export Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing documentation for export shipments, monitoring and managing vessel bookings, and preparing export documents for presentation to banks.
This is a challenging role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of commodities, including grain, cotton, sugar, and other exported products.
About the Role- Prepare documentation for export shipments, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Monitor and manage vessel bookings to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare export documents for presentation to banks, including letters of credit and payment instructions.
- Liaise with customer finance and import departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures, and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Experience in a similar position, preferably working with bulk commodities.
- Strong administration skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Broad knowledge of export regulations and procedures, including customs clearance and freight forwarding.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible approach to work.
