Lead a Team of Software Engineers

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Software Development Manager to lead and mentor a team of software engineers. This role is responsible for managing the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications and services using Microsoft .NET technologies.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical leadership with excellent people management and delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software developers.
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.

Technical Delivery:

  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle – from design and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Drive technical excellence by ensuring best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
  • Provide hands-on support in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) development when required.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to deliver features on time and within scope.
  • Manage project timelines, sprint planning, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Quality & Operations:

  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Maintain application reliability, performance, and security in production environments.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation in development processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development with .NET technologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership or people management role.
  • Strong skills in:
  • C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
  • Knowledge of mobile app development with frameworks such as Ionic would be highly advantageous
  • RESTful API design and integration
  • Front-end frameworks (Angular) – desirable
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Developer, .NET certifications).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
