About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our IT networking and security systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 2nd and 3rd level network support to ensure seamless operation of our IT systems.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implement and monitor actions to prevent future issues and improve system performance.
- Collaborate with the team to establish and maintain operational processes in line with industry standards.
- Perform upgrades and replacements of network and security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Test, implement, and monitor networking and security software/hardware to ensure optimal system performance.
- Design, provision, upgrade, and perform capacity planning and performance testing of network systems infrastructure.
- Develop and peer-review technical design documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide related documentation and handover for a 2nd line incident response capability for network infrastructure operational issues.
- At least 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure roles, with a strong background in network administration and security.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or Microsoft certifications, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- Desirable experience in wireless infrastructure technologies, network security infrastructure, and security principles & best practices.
- Strong network administration skills, with a focus on customer service and business enablement.
- Working knowledge of the ITIL v3 Framework, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
