Research Scientist Opportunity

The Research Scientist will undertake scientific research on an ARC Discovery Project titled "A Probabilistic Approach to Big Data-Based Industrial Process Control". The role involves conducting cutting-edge research on control theory and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on probabilistic and data-based industrial process control.
  • Undertake advanced research on control theory and machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts within the School of Chemical Engineering.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Engineering or Mathematics with a strong focus on control systems.
  • Expertise in process control, nonlinear control, stochastic systems theory, and Behavioural Systems theory and applications.
  • Able to conduct independent research with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations in reputable journals.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate across disciplines, and build strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
