General Surgery Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a General Surgeon. This is a 12-month temporary full-time position, providing comprehensive care and management of patients in the Surgical Department under the supervision of Consultant.

The successful candidate will collaborate with General Practitioners and other external stakeholders to ensure continuity of patient care in both primary and acute settings through excellent communication skills.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent, current registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Post Graduate qualification in General Surgery FRACS.
  • Demonstrated interest in rural/regional General Surgery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with appropriate independence within supervised complex clinical environments.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills, with demonstrated good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and a professional attitude and flexibility.
  • Preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel during employment.
