Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate reader to join our editorial team as a Content Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the publishing process, copy-editing, proofreading, and managing page proofs for a wide range of adult titles.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that involves working independently and collaboratively in an enthusiastic environment. You will have the opportunity to liaise directly with authors to resolve proofreading queries and style/consistency matters, as well as facilitate communication between the author and other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the publishing process for adult titles
  • Copy-edit, proofread, and manage page proofs
  • Liaise with authors to resolve proofreading queries and style/consistency matters
  • Facilitate communication between the author and other departments
  • Maintain title data in our bibliographic system

Requirements:

  • Passionate reader across a wide variety of genres
  • Eye for detail and thorough knowledge of spelling and grammar
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
