We're a global leader in mining and civil blasting, with a diverse team of over 13,000 people across the world. Our Pilbara business is thriving, and we're looking for a skilled Mechanic (auto-electrician/diesel) to join our high-performing team.
About the Role
As a Mechanic at Orica, you'll provide technical support and maintenance to our fixed plant and mobile plant on site. You'll work closely with our Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at our sites.
Key Responsibilities
- General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;
- Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations, and breakdown maintenance;
- Assist in managing a maintenance plan for the equipment at our sites;
- Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes;
- Provide field support for clients by performing training, reviews, and maintenance support on site;
- Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices.
Requirements
- Trade certification in either Heavy Road Transport, Auto Electrical, or equivalent;
- Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to attain a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle license;
- Previous experience working on heavy vehicles (advantageous).
