Our Pilbara Business
We are currently seeking a motivated and team-focused Mechanic (auto-electrician/diesel mechanic) to join our high-performing team in the Pilbara region. This role will involve operating from Perth to our sites within the Pilbara.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica's fixed plant and mobile plant on site;
- Schedule and perform servicing, repairs, alterations, and breakdown maintenance;
- Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);
- Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes and take appropriate corrective action as required;
- Provide field support for clients by performing training, reviews, and maintenance support on site;
- Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices.
Requirements
- Trade certification in either Heavy Road Transport, Auto Electrical, or equivalent;
- For HV Mechanics, auto electrical knowledge is advantageous;
- Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to attain a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle license;
- Previous experience working on heavy vehicles is advantageous.
