The Commonwealth Budget Coordination Directorate plays a vital role in managing the Defence budget at the Portfolio level.

This team offers opportunities to work on high-strategic issues in a fast-paced environment.

The APS 5 Budget Officer will provide support to a range of duties in relation to the Commonwealth Budget process.

You will coordinate agency liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including central and other Commonwealth agencies, on budget-related matters.

You will work with autonomy to achieve outcomes, set work priorities, and manage workflows.

About Our Work

The key tasks for this position include developing budget submissions, preparing portfolio statements and additional estimates, developing costings, and briefing senior leadership teams.
