Data Platform Leader

Join our organization as a Data Platform Leader to oversee the development and implementation of scalable data infrastructure, backend services, and clients for capturing and connecting behavioral analytics and system telemetry.

This role involves leading a high-impact team working at the intersection of data analytics, platform infrastructure, and frontend instrumentation. The successful candidate will partner with product, data, and infra teams to ensure systems are accurate, scalable, and easy to use, helping every team understand the full picture of product experience.

About the Role

The Data Platform Leader will be responsible for driving the design and evolution of scalable event ingestion and processing systems. They will also foster a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and inclusive leadership, and help shape the future of how data informs decision-making across the organization by supporting other services of the group.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers building the data infrastructure, backend services, and clients.
  • Drive the design and evolution of scalable event ingestion and processing systems.
  • Partner with teams across product, infra, and data to ensure systems are impactful and reliable.
  • Evaluate and implement technology stacks and architecture to support data platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience leading engineering teams focused on data platforms and backend infrastructure.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems, event processing, or analytics pipelines.
  • A proven track record of coaching engineers across both frontend and backend, and guiding architecture decisions.
  • Prior experience with frontend instrumentation at scale and managing and evolving clients embedded across every page of an application.
  • An approach that values product mindset, collaboration, and communication.
