Job Title: Building Repair Estimator

Job Description
  • Detailed Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the cause of damage, scope of works and costings.
  • Scope of Works: Compile and deliver detailed scope of works for building repairs.
  • Budget Breakdowns: Compile and deliver accurate budget breakdowns for building repair projects.
  • Roof Inspections: Conduct accurate roof inspections using telescopic poles.
  • Liaising with Contractors: Liaise with contractors/suppliers to assist with quote requests and repair methodology.
  • Policy Coverage: Determine policy coverage in accordance with client agreements.
  • Scope and Reports: Write scope of works and associated reports to KPI deadline.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with clients, customers and Claims Coordinators with any SOW or report related queries.
  • Trade Attendances: Liaise with internal teams to book in trade attendances (subcontractors and/or specialists).
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments on the potential high risk and hazardous components of each project.

The Role: The estimator will oversee accurately preparing and submitting causation reports, quotations, budget estimates, and building repair scopes while collaborating closely with the Department Manager and the direct/EOL teams including project coordinators and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities: This position involves some aspect of client relationship management with insurance assessors. Key professional skills include face to face customer service, empathy for insured's loss, self-starting, communication skills, organisational abilities, multi-tasking, attention to detail and pride in your work.
